Carbon Nanotubes Incorporated Nitride Semiconductors for Enhanced Thermal Capability
carbon-nanotubes-incorporated-nitride-semiconductors-for-enhanced-thermal-capability
TO58394
The major problem faced by the high power Group III elements and Nitride optical and electronic devices, such as LEDs, lasers and high-electron-mobility transistor (HEMTs), is to overcome self-heating in devices when they are biased at high voltage. For most of the time, substrates such as sapphire are used in the devices. But they have poor thermal conductivity and they are also an insulator. Along with high temperatures, they will affect the device performance and shorten the lifeline of the device as sapphire cannot absorb heat and provide pathway for conducting the heat generated during operation. This technology provides a unique laser lift-off process to attach or fuse Group III elements and nitride-based structures, for optical and electronic devices, with multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT’s). Through the adoption of the laser lift-off process, devices made out of these structures are removed from sapphire substrate and held on a temporary support.
Enhanced Performance of Light-emitting Displays
enhanced-performance-of-light-emitting-displays
TO58396
Organic/Polymer light emitting devices (OLED/PLED) is a thin film consisting of layers of inorganic electrodes and functional organic/polymeric semiconductors, with a stack of functional organic layers sandwiched between the upper and lower electrodes. The light emitted from OLED/PLED is generally isotropic. Devices with metallic cathode configuration have low contrast ratio and poor visual image, while the efforts required to improve the image quality are costly. This technology produces a high contrast OLED/PLED using an optical destructive transparent conductive oxide (TCO) anode, and a substrate with a reflection suppressing feature. With this feature in place, a portion of the ambient light and glaring light reflected from the metallic cathode and also the air/glass surface can be decreased substantially due to the light diffusion and scattering effects. Substantial enhancement in the visual contrast happens when the optical destructive TCO anode absorbs the ambient light, increasing the overall light output of the device.
Plug & Play AI Module for Manufacturing Efficiency

Traditionally, Design for Manufacturing (DFM) feedback is provided late in the product development cycle, often resulting in costly redesigns, production delays, and missed opportunities for optimization. This invention introduces an AI-powered companion that delivers real-time DFM feedback early in the design and demand fulfillment process. By automatically analyzing CAD models and design parameters, it identifies features that may pose manufacturing challenges and offers actionable suggestions to improve feasibility and reduce costs. The AI companion empowers users to make informed design decisions without waiting for manual reviews or relying solely on in-house manufacturing experts. In additional, traditional quoting methods are labor intensive and inaccurate, requiring engineers to analyze technical drawings, assess material and process requirements, and estimate costs based on historical data or supplier inputs. This delays customer responses and increases operational overhead. The proposed technology leverages AI to automatically interpret design files (e.g., CAD or technical drawings), extract key manufacturing features, and generate instant, data driven price estimates. The technology owner is seeking collaborators in tailoring this AI module to specific industries, applications, and business processes. Target users include precision engineering firms, job shops and manufacturers. The solution can enable businesses to respond faster to customer inquiries, reduce quoting costs, reduce design for manufacturing leadtime and win more business.

TO175402
Buildings and photovoltaic (PV) systems face two major challenges: excessive heat gain and frequent surface soiling. In tropical climates, solar heat through glass façades can account for up to 40% of total cooling demand, while dust accumulation on PV panels can lower efficiency by 5–30% within months. These issues increase energy use, maintenance frequency, and operational costs. This technology introduces a multifunctional multilayer coating that integrates self-cleaning, infrared (IR) heat rejection, and high optical transparency in a single, durable formulation. Unlike conventional coatings that require multiple layers for different functions, this innovation achieves comparable or superior performance in an integrated multilayer design—simplifying application and lowering cost. The photocatalytic self-cleaning surface decomposes organic contaminants and enables natural washing by rain, reducing cleaning needs. Simultaneously, the IR-reflective layer rejects near-infrared heat while maintaining over ~80% visible light transmittance, cutting cooling energy use by ~10–15% without compromising daylight. Compact, scalable, and retrofit-friendly, this coating offers a cost-effective solution for building operators and solar installers aiming to enhance energy efficiency, reduce maintenance, and improve sustainability performance. The technology owner is seeking industry partners in solar panel manufacturing, green building projects, and glass applications for licensing

Smart IoT System with Electrolysed Water for Healthier Plants

In hydroponics, plants receive nutrients directly from a water-based solution. pH affects how well plants can absorb these nutrients. If the pH is too high (alkaline) or too low (acidic), certain nutrients become chemically unavailable, leading to deficiencies even if the nutrients are present. To adjust the pH, hydroponic farmers have to use pH up solution (commonly potassium hydroxide or potassium carbonate) or pH down solution (commonly phosphoric or nitric acid), which adds cost, increases safety risks and utilises resources like time, manpower and storage space. This innovation combines Electrolysed Water (EW) with an Internet of Things (IoT) system to autonomously adjust pH to improve vegetable health, optimise plant growth, and reduce algae without the use of chemicals. The solution features a modular chamber setup, precise EW control, and real-time environmental monitoring. The technology addresses the common challenges of uneven plant growth, algae outbreaks, and chemical handling in urban agriculture.
